As part of Telenor’s #Digitalpænt campaign, Format helped develop, plan and execute #Digitalpænt School Competition 2017.
The idea for a school competition had sprung from an internal competition at Telenor, and Format designed the competition to suit Danish 5th- and 6th graders. Format developed a competition kit, consisting of three manuscripts, based on conversations on social media platforms (Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram), a movie-structure guide, a cut-out Emoji kit and a set of questions for the teacher – designed to engage the children in conversation about online bullying.
The Kit was sent to every 5th- and 6th grade in Denmark, with the assignment to make a 2 minute long movie, based on one of the manuscripts. The winner would win an intimate concert for the whole school with the Danish band L.I.G.A. Over 100 classes participated in the competition, and more than 3000 children worked with digital bullying during the competition.
The overall purpose of the competition was to engage the pupils in conversation about the topic, and through their work with the competition kit, they should become aware of the significance of their language and behavior on the Internet and the consequences thereof.
The competition created a lot of content for Telenor and they achieved a total reach of 1,2million on Facebook and 1,4 on all Social Media platforms.
Format was in charge of the development, planning and execution of the school competition as well as all content in the competition kit. Furthermore, Format coordinated the planning and execution of the school concert.
