It was with great ambitions in mind that the Format team chose to collaborate with The Ecological Council on their electric vehicles seminar. The main purpose was to push the proliferation of e-cars and make them the preference of Danish shared and leasing fleets. Format took on an advisory role in order to streamline the seminar planning process, secure measurable targets and improve overall meeting efficiency and learning. By means of a thorough analysis of relevant target groups and the mapping of their respective incentives and barriers, Format changed the organizers’ perspective and approach towards the use of physical meetings to influence a given audience with the aim to yield actual effect and changes in behavior. The seminar was conceptualized all the way through - from the initial invite to each plenary session conclusion - where participants could eye the progress of themselves and their co-participants manifested as physical cars moving on a printed driving lane. This instant feedback was then taken back into the plenary and group discussions to ensure constant relevancy of the debate. In addition to the seminar, Format has equipped The Ecological Council with a complete toolbox that can be used for future seminars and meetings.

“It has been a true eye-opener for us to collaborate with Format on our e-cars seminar. After a challenging and educational counseling process, we have changed our perspective on the functions and potentials of meetings. Now, aware of how meetings can contribute to actual results, we have gained knowledge and tools that we can implement the next time we need to communicate our messages effectively in a physical set-up. With Format’s inputs, we have been able to identify the needs of our target groups – and thus able to optimize the seminar program – involve the participants in a relevant and engaging manner, and prepare both the moderator and speakers in order to ensure the best possible outcome and maximize changes in the target groups’ opinions and behavior.” Jeppe Juul, The Ecological Council
