At the Energy Summit 2015, Format conceptualized a groundbreaking plenary screen setup which was implemented together with our top of class partners. It consisted of 32 vertical canvases in various sizes staggered irregularly in front of the audience, who experienced the content come alive by means of clever 3D projections and sensory effects. Focusing on green energy trade-offs and profitability, the summit was elegantly framed in wooden materials and botanic decorations, thus creating a striking platform for discussions. The theme and agenda was further enhanced by sleek, made-to-order furniture in anti-waste materials that kept the center of the conference open for networking opportunities and town hall meetings. In between plenary sessions, participants could move into 3 self-selected tracks – offering insight and case-specific learning within specific topics. The program concluded with an evocative mingle session for participants, politicians, speakers and exhibitors who grabbed the opportunity of finding synergies across their disciplines.

“Since 2012, we have collaborated with Format Agency on our annual meeting, The Energy Summit. The summit gives Danish Energy Association an opportunity to collectively meet with our members and creates a platform that enables us to set the political agenda within energy. Thus, it is crucial that the summit reflects who we are and communicates our purpose. The collaboration with Format has reassured all stakeholders in the planning process and ensured a professional image of our organization and team. Thanks to their persistent challenge of the communication format without compromising execution certainty and accuracy, we are perceived as a visionary and innovative association. Our partnership with Format has contributed to an increased pride among our employees, showcased the value of gathering the industry, initiated dialogue and conveyed our message in a credible way.” Lars Aagaard, CEO, Danish Energy Association, 2015
