This year’s Telenor Copenhagen Marathon marked the 3rd year of Telenor’s main sponsorship, and once again, Format Agency assisted in the project of creating the Telenor Powerzone, in order to once again ensure a status as ‘Best Powerzone in the entire run’. While we still wanted to create a personalized experience for the spectators, by encouraging them to send a cheer through our cheering facilitator, Jacob Riising, we also wanted to improve the Powerzone itself. Therefore, we chose to utilize a new area for the Powerzone at the edge of the Fælledparken. By including a green area with trees and grass, we are able to create a relaxed ‘festival’-kind of environment, where families could hang out the whole day with activities for kids, food trucks, seating areas and a general park feeling. Furthermore, we once again designed the Telenor stall at the Expo – with lounge area, children’s area, pop up shop and an activity. This year, we produced two information walls, one with fun stories from previous marathons and one details of how Telenor Copenhagen Marathon is the most digital marathon in the world. The walls were activated through a competition that had more than 600 individual participants. Lastly, we helped improve Telenor’s presence at Mini Marathon, in order to create a family friendly area as well as communicating the Telenor Powerzone. Format were in charge of ensuring a complete participant journey through all separate events, producing communication material, designing of the different areas, conceptualizing activities, technical set-up, producing content about the event for Telenor’s social media channels as well as general coordination and planning.
