As Gold Sponsor for the Women Deliver Conference 2016 in Copenhagen, Novo Nordisk used Format to develop the concept for the exhibition area as well as activating the sponsorship. The main challenge was to communicate the key message about the risks of diabetes during pregnancy at the world’s largest international conference on maternal health, women’s rights and well-being. With high levels of communications diffusion and the presence of other powerful advocating organisations, this was obviously not easy. Format helped Novo Nordisk integrating their message and corded various touch-points with the delegates together by presenting a simple, yet strong, key statistics: ONE IN SEVEN. The concept permeated all Novo Nordisk conference elements including: bag insert, digital invite, exhibition booth design, sponsored coffee break and other branded goods. For instance, every seventh coffee cup at the sponsored coffee break was red - as was every seventh bag insert. It helped to emphasize and augment the ONE IN SEVEN concept by spreading representative artefacts around the entire conference venue. It resulted in both a larger reach and more incoming traffic on the Novo Nordisk exhibition booth generating more in-depth dialogue between the delegates and Novo Nordisk specialized staff.
